Handmade in England since 1903, the iconic shape of the Simplex beehive kettle, crafted by hand using age-old spinning techniques, is as popular today as when it was first designed in the 1950s.
Produced from only the finest copper – the best conductor of heat to ensure a faster boil and greater heat retention – every tea kettle is unique and takes over a month to produce and is proudly stamped with ‘Made in England’ on the base.
The Simplex beehive Blenheim No 3 tea kettle has a magnificent mirror-chrome exterior and will whistle obediently through the spout letting you know it’s time for tea!
Please allow 4-5 weeks for your kettle to be despatched, as each one is individually crafted by hand.

Do:
- Keep water level just below the centre seam
- Hand wash only and dry with a soft cloth
- Clean chrome kettles with a wet soapy cloth and polish with a dry cloth to bring back its shine.
- Use filtered water, particularly in hard water areas
- Empty any left over water after boiling and wipe the inside dry to prevent calcium (limescale) build up
- Copper is an exceptional material in the kitchen and, when maintained properly, should give you many years of service
Do Not:
- Leave water in the kettle overnight
- Put your kettle in a dishwasher
- Let the Simplex tea kettle boil dry
- Clean with any acidic cleaning agents
- Scrub with steel wool or abrasive cleaning cloths/brushes or pads as this can lead to irreparable damage

I purchased the Newey & Bloomer Simplex Beehive Blenheim No.3 (the chrome over copper version) as a gift for my wife. She’d had a Russell Hobbs electric kettle (made in the UK) that lasted for many years. After it went to “tea kettle Heaven”, she was going to purchase another but found that Russell Hobbs’ UK manufacturing was bought up by an international company and was no longer being manufactured in the UK. She researched kettles for over 6 months and found almost every kettle she’d liked was made in China. She ordered several Chinese made electric kettles and sent them all back! Absolute rubbish! After yet another exhaustive search into kettles NOT made in China, she came upon the name Newey & Bloomer and did some digging into the company and loved what she read about the company and it’s long history and reputation for quality made kettles. My wife got in touch with Newey & Bloomer Customer Relations and reached a lovely representative, Louise, who was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Louise directed my wife to some YouTube videos and answered all questions that were put to her. It is, in part, due to her excellent customer service that I wound up ordering this handmade, beautiful, well constructed kettle! It was made just for us and we got it earlier than the 6 week range we were given. It boils water quite quickly, pours like a dream to make the perfect cuppa and looks stunning on our stovetop! I cannot stress enough how lovely this kettle truly is. Hoping it will be the last kettle we own. With its quality and beauty, it will surely become a family heirloom that will be passed down.
